On Friday June 12th 2020, I was nominated to stand in the General Election in District One by our National Hero, Mr. Wilkin Smith, and by President of the One Anguilla Youth Movement, Ms. Terraine Webster. This was an incredible moment, signalling the coming together of our sacrificial history and the promise of a brighter future for all Anguillians. I am so humbled to be standing again in District One to represent the people and to continue the work that we have started to ensure that our District and Anguilla are self-reliant, self-sufficient and sustainable.
The people of District One broke away from tribal party politics in 2015, ushering in a new dawn for our community and positioning us for real prosperity – a real prosperity that was free from the negative influences, hidden agendas and selfish gains of the party hacks who control the wealth distribution channels in this country. Yes, the people of District One will no longer deny their own individual right to choose their representative based on competence, character and commitment to represent their needs. The people of District One will not be bullied or forced into backing parties that have abandoned and neglected us for so many years – we are not going back to those dark days, we are staying Pam and we are Voting Pam – THE FISH on June 29th 2020.

We are proud of the record of service over the last five years:
First ever Opposition Leader to bring Legislation before the Anguilla House of Assembly:
• The Family Law (Guardianship Custody and Access to Children) Bill, 2015.
• The Status of Children Bill, 2015.
• The Protection Against Sexual Harassment Bill, 2015.
First time in 44 years (since 1976) that we have a functioning Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in Anguilla. We were able to mobilize and provide external support to this institution. PAC investigates how government spends tax payers’ dollars.
Over the years I have devoted my entire parliamentary salary, along with personal resources, to care for the people of District One, by funding important initiatives such as:
• The Island Harbour Care Centre.
• Sponsoring the Feeding Programme at Vivien Vanterpool Primary School.
• Sponsorship for Early Childhood Education.
• Financial support for “Back to School” (Text Books/Uniforms).
• Supporting families – financial assistance, medical expenses and housing costs.
• Supporting our community in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma and other environmental clean-up campaigns.
In the next 5 years we will continue the work to make District One the model of economic productivity and sustainability. We will be focused on the following areas:

A Sustainable Economy – Greater investment for our Fishermen and Farmers, Creating sustainable jobs through skills training and apprenticeship programmes, Cutting taxes, Funding for renewable energy and Information and Communications Technologies.
Quality Education – improving the curriculum, implementing a book loans programme to reduce the cost of text books, improve conditions for children with physical and learning disabilities, and provide scholarships at all levels.
Social Protection – monthly cash transfers for disadvantaged households, public works programmes to guarantee employment, proper management of the Social Security Fund.
Affordable Healthcare – implement National Health Insurance, ensure our health centres have the necessary equipment and staff, invest in preventative care and healthy lifestyles, and provide more funding for mental health services.
Affordable Housing – Attract Foreign Investment for housing projects, develop a low-income housing programme, establish a special credit facility for borrowers, and transform abandoned properties into rent to own units.
