The following video clip by the Anguilla United Front appeared on its Facebook page after the dissolution of the House of Assembly on Saturday, May 9, 2020:

Mr. Victor Banks: “Today we dissolved the House of Assembly officially ending our legislative term of office from the period 2015 through to and 2020. It has been quite a journey with incredible highs and some heart-wrenching lows.

We know like you know that these are unprecedented times and the decisions we will make during the next six to twelve months will impact our homeland for the next decade and beyond. It is a critical time in our island’s history and I could not feel more proud and fortunate to be an Anguillian.

These are the situations that our people have survived over the years with courage and resilience. It is at times like these that we demonstrate our commitment to our island and each other as a people. If there was ever a time that Anguilla needed continuity in Government that time is now.

Mr Evans Rogers: Continuity with an experienced team in Government; a team that is dedicated; a team that is proven and committed to responsiveness even in difficult times with a healthcare crisis that has been experienced globally in the last 100 years.

Mrs. Cora Richardson Hodge: Willing to make the tough and unpopular decisions because it is to the benefit of our people.

Mr. Curtis Richardson: A team with a vision and an unwavering work ethic to create the Anguilla our people deserve.

Mr. Cardigan Connor: That can rebuild our island after a catastrophe; to break records and set a new standard for the region.

Mr. Oris Smith: This is a team that has one goal: to be a part of the solution; to never fan the flames of the problem.

Mr. Jose Vanterpool: I am proud to be part of a team that is ready to lead the Caribbean in technology innovation and we have already started the process.

Mrs. Evalie Bradley: Continuity in leadership that for decades has proven we genuinely care about the people.

Mr. Othlyn Vanterpool: One that does not only talk about agricultural reform, but has used the past five years to make decisions to implement it.

Mr. Mark Romney: A team that recognises the role small businesses play in our economy: Leaders that have spent decades empowering entrepreneurs both young and old.
Mr. Lockhart Hughes: I am proud to be on a team that recognises the role that young men and women play in the long-term development of our island.

Mr. Victor Banks: The Anguilla United Front is ready to continue moving Anguilla onward, united. We are the only team that is ready on day one.
