THE ANGUILLIAN NEWSPAPER SUSPENDED

It is with much regret that The Anguillian newspaper has taken a decision to temporarily suspend the publication of its printed version until further notice.

The newspaper is printed in St. Maarten, but with the temporary closure of the Dutch and French Ports, as well as the Blowing Point Port in Anguilla to the ferry service, there is not an easy possibility to get The Anguillian to Anguilla.

While there is a cargo service between St. Maarten and Road Bay, Anguilla, there is an uncertainty of cargo delivery times. It is not advisable, therefore, for the newspaper to pursue that route.

In the meantime, The Anguillian newspaper intends to ensure that it has an active presence on its online Website and Facebook page for matters of national importance. Persons may also request to use that service as may be necessary.

It is hoped that the situation will change once the restrictions on the ferry service between the neighbouring islands are lifted.
