The new Road Bay Jetty is now under construction at Sandy Ground, south of the exiting jetty built in 1971.
The second jetty is being built at a cost of US$13 million provided by the UK Government. The cost does not include the other related facilities to be constructed in the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, some two weeks ago, it was stated that the Anguilla Rums building, located east of the Sandy Ground ballfield, had been acquired by the Government of Anguilla to form part of the new port development. Since then, it has been learnt that this is not the case.
