Anguilla has again welcomed the High Commissioner of India, His Excellency Dr. K. J. Srinivasa, to its shores. He arrived on the island on Wednesday, February 19, on a one day visit.
Dr. Srinivasa, who is based in Georgetown, Guyana, held talks with Government officials and members of the Indian community. He met with media representatives at La Vue Boutique Hotel on Back Street, South Hill, on Thursday, before leaving the island at midday.
He was first here in mid-December, 2019, when he presented his credentials to His Excellency Governor Foy, OBE, and held exploratory discussions with Premier Victor Banks, other Ministers and Officials of Government; members of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Finance Services Commission. He also met with Indian nationals and media representatives.
During his official talks, then, he said India was looking to explore opportunities for trade and investment; and, most importantly to collaborate with the Government of Anguilla in promoting skills development, capacity building and education for Anguillians.
