Some of the Students, Staff and Alumni who participated in Games Night

 

Students at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus Anguilla last week participated in a number of activities in celebration of UWI Guild Fest 2020. The week began with Students, Staff and Alumni attending the worship service at the historic Ebenezer Methodist Church in the Valley on Sunday, February 9th, 2020. During the service, which was conducted by UWI Alumnus, Mr. Kenn Banks, Guild Chair, Ms. Kemoloy Murphy presented a donation towards the Ebenezer post-Hurricane Irma restoration efforts on behalf of the UWI Students, Staff and Alumni.

On Monday, February 10th Staff, Students and Alumni celebrated “I am UWI Day” and demonstrated their “Pelican Pride” through the donning of the various UWI colours and the sharing photos and videos on social media.

The week ended with the annual Games Night on Saturday, February 15th, when the Student Guild Team beat out the defending Champions, the Alumni Team to claim the 2020 Trophy.

Guild Fest is organised annually by the University’s Regional Guild of Students when local Student Guilds host a number of different activities to engage Students, Staff and Alumni.
