The Valley Anguilla, 30th October 2019 – The Department of Youth and Culture (DYC) will be celebrating Anguillian Shipwrights, Ships and Sailors in the 2020 Culture and Arts Calendar. As part of the feature, the department will highlight stories and photos detailing the history of the island’s rich affinity to the ocean.
The 2020 calendar will also serve as a resource document, capturing some of Anguilla’s history and traditions, and honouring several of our most resilient people. Like all the previous editions, it is anticipated that this calendar will be a much sought after collectors’ item.
As such, the department invites interested person to share the biography, photos and stories of Sailors, Shipwrights or history of noted Ships.
