The National Trust building is one of three other buildings which stood in the area over the years. Two of them were The Valley Health Clinic and the Dental Unit both of which were extensively damaged or compromised by Hurricane Irma. The other older structure provided offices for Primary Healthcare and Nutrition. All three buildings have been demolished in preparation for the new Valley Polyclinic.
The National Trust building is also to be demolished for the required additional land space.

An Executive Council Minute, of August 16, 2019, states as follows:
“Council agreed that the lands where Anguilla National Trust (ANT) is currently situated (Registration Section North Central, Block 48814 B, described as Parcel 226 (Part of) being approximately 0.17 acres) located in The Valley be exchanged for lands situated in Registration Section North Central, Block 48714 B, described as Parcel 737 (Part of) being 0.39 acres) currently registered to the Crown. The exchange of land is for the construction of The Valley Polyclinic.

“The Anguilla National Trust (ANT) is to be vested with lands described as Registration Section North Central, Block 48714 B, Parcel 737 (Part of) for the new office building subject to the relevant permissions including planning permission: being Lot 1 on Survey Plan LS -19.

“The Market Value of the property is US$39,000 or EC$104,839. 80.

“The Attorney General’s Chambers is required to draft the vesting order for execution by ANT and the Crown.”
