In an effort to keep our ambulance fleet roadworthy and ensure the safe and timely transportation of our clients needing emergency services, Mr Alexis Escanio from Palmetto Ford was asked to undertake a comprehensive assessment of our fleet. This was done on 23rd June 2019.

As a result of his assessment, minor issues were resolved but there was a need to source some parts to carry out and complete major work on the vehicles. These parts have since been ordered but have not yet arrived in Anguilla.

We are aware that the festive season begins in a week and a half and there is a need to have the ambulance services in a state of readiness. Consequently, in the interim, the Management of the Health Authority of Anguilla would like to inform the general public that, effective Monday 22nd July 2019, due to the ongoing work on the ambulances, and in an effort not to limit our emergency services to the public, we would include a retrofit vehicle in our fleet.

Please be assured that the HAA is working assiduously to acquire the necessary parts and solicits your cooperation and understanding during this challenging time.

Ms. Meredith Gumbs
Chief Executive Officer (Ag)
