and Miss Latonya Mussington

Three formally educated contestants have stepped forward to compete in the Miss Anguilla Queen Show scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre. They are:
Contestant No. 1: Nicole Gumbs, 22, of Cauls Pond. She is currently a student at Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Health Science, with a minor in Psychology.
Contestant No. 2: Sari-Lee Benjamin, 22, of South Valley. She is studying at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. Her fields of study are Marketing with a major – and Social Psychology with a minor.
Contestant No. 3: Latonya Mussington, 24, of Island Harbour. She graduated from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Criminology and Neuroscience.
The three contestants appeared at the Anguilla Great House on Saturday, June 8, where they were introduced by the reigning Miss Anguilla 2018-2019, Mikeela Skellekie.
Speaking with media representatives, Ms. Keischa Brooks, organiser of the Miss Anguilla competition 2019, said in part: “The theme for this year’s Anguilla Pageant is ‘Discovered, Empowering Women’. Each contestant received her preparatory fees this evening, but we have not confirmed any sponsors as yet for the contestants. We have three beautiful ladies competing for this year’s Miss Anguilla Pageant.”
In the past, there were up to six Miss Anguilla Pageant contestants, making the competition more competitive. It is hoped, however, that the show, like similar small participatory numbers recently, will nevertheless attract much public interest and sponsorship by the business community.
