The Social Security Board continues to show appreciation and celebrate the golden years of our senior citizens, and especially recognizes and salutes those who attain the milestone age of 100 years and over. The Board has a programme in place which observes the birthdays of centenarians in our community and awards them with a gift of EC$500.00.

Two female centenarians surpassed the age of 100 years this month. On Saturday, 25th May 2019, the Board observed the 102nd birthday of Nora Denise Niles of the Farrington. Similarly, on Tuesday, 28th May 2019, the 101st birthday of Miriam Hodge of Long Bay (now residing in Northside) was observed. Both birthday celebrants were awarded a cheque for EC$500.00.
Last month, on 22nd April, the Board also observed the 101st birthday of Althea Richardson of North Hill.

To the birthday celebrants, Nora Denise Niles and Miriam Hodge, the Social Security Board wishes you a happy 102nd and 101st birthday respectively. From its sunny beginning to its peaceful, sleepy end – may each day holds nothing but happiness for you, and may God continue to bless you with more years of good health and the love of family and friends.
