The 29th Annual Spelling B Competition, part of the Anguilla Day Programme, was won by the Alwyn Allison Primary School on May 22, with a total score of 174 points.
The other results were: Orealia Kelly Primary School, 156 points; Adrian T. Hazell Primary School, 129; Valley Primary School, 108; Vivien Vanterpool Primary School, 62; Morris Vanterpool Primary School, 61; and Omololu International Institute, 58 points. The best speller was Ayana Carty of the Alwyn Allison Primary School.
The Spelling B Completion was sponsored by FLOW Anguilla, which was represented by its local Commercial Manager, Mrs. Jade Richardson.
Permanent Secretary, Education, Mrs. Chanelle Petty Barrett, commended FLOW for its commitment over the thirty years to sponsoring the event, a permanent fixture on the schools’ calendar. “FLOW has been an exemplary corporate citizen which has taken its social responsibility seriously,” she stated. “We appreciate and value the partnership that exists between FLOW and the education sector. This can only serve to assist us as seek to provide opportunities for our children to excel.”
