UWI Open Campus Anguilla Launches Second Compliance Workshop on Compliance and Tax Transparency Standards for Financial Services Organisations

Workshop Organisers

The University of the West Indies Open Campus Anguilla in collaboration with The Anguilla Financial Services Commission (AFSC), The Anguilla Commercial Registry (ACORN), The Anguilla Compliance Association (ACA) and the Ministry of Finance is pleased to present a Workshop in support of the theme “Compliance & Tax Transparency Standards” with a focus on “EU Substance: Requirements, Reporting, Reinvention” on April 16, 2019. The Workshop aims to educate individuals on the details of the newly proposed legislation regarding economic substance requirements for entities registered in Anguilla conducting certain activities as well as to provide an introduction to the application of the Country by Country (CBC) Reporting standard in Anguilla.

Featured presenters and speakers will include the Compliance Manager in the Ministry of Finance, Ms. Marisa Harding Hodge, Director and Deputy Director of Anguilla Financial Services Commission, Ms. Tina Bryan and Ms. Simone Martin respectively, Deputy Registrar of Anguilla Commercial Registry, Mr. Lonnie Hobson and Education and Training Officer of the Anguilla Compliance Association, Mrs. Fiona Curtis.

The Workshop is the second of compliance related initiatives presented since 2017, and serves part of Continuing and Professional Development Education (CPE) offered via the UWI Open Campus Anguilla. The UWI Open Campus Anguilla and the organisers for this scheduled event endeavour to continue providing relevant Risk, Governance and Compliance courses in the near future, particularly for the participants of the Financial Services Industry who wish to enhance their professional development in these fields.

Public and Private Organisations, particularly Company Management and Insurance companies, Non-Profit Organisations, Members of Financial Services market, A.L.H.C.S Business students and the uninformed are invited to attend this Workshop at the Teacher’s Resource Centre commencing 8:30 am. Attendees are asked to register by or before April 15, 2019. Registration fees are $30.00 USD per person and $25.00USD for ACA Members.
