RUSSIAN BILLIONAIRE’S YACHT IN ROAD BAY AND MEADS BAY

Anguillians have been amazed at the size of the Super Yacht A that was anchored in Meads Bay and Road Bay recently. It is owned by Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko. It is worth US$450 million and is the largest sailing yacht in the world.

The super yacht is 468 feet in length and has three masts each of which is 328 feet tall. The vessel is the most advanced of its kind with 8 decks and cabins for 20 guests and 54 crew.
The yacht was designed by Philippe Starck and built in Kiel, Germany for Melnichenko, a 46 year old industrialist who is worth $13.5 billion according to Forbes – putting him in the top 100 richest people in the world.
