On Monday, January 21st 2019, the Youth Affairs Division in the Department of Youth and Culture conducted an information session with the Labour Commissioner – Mrs. Jo-Anne Hodge and Staff at the Department of Labour.
The purpose of the visit was to develop an ongoing collaboration between both Departments through the referral process of the various youth programmes at the Department of Youth and Culture. These programmes are the Job Link Up programme, the Youth EXPOSURE programme and the Anguilla GET SET Entrepreneurial Programme.
The information session was facilitated by the Senior Programme Officer – Ms. Joleyne Robin who shared pertinent information on the different programmes as an avenue for young people between the ages of 16 – 30 years old who are currently unemployed as a result of different socio-economic factors or circumstances.
Mrs. Hodge indicated that the Department of Labour remains committed to this initiative as we work together to meet the needs of the youth population. We are grateful for this collaboration and encourage young persons who are seeking more information to contact the Department of Youth and Culture at (264) 498 3792 or by email at youthandculture@gov.ai.
Referral and application Forms for all programmes can be collected from the Department of Youth and Culture or downloaded from the Department’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DYCAnguilla /) or the Government’s website at www.gov.ai
