Each year the Anguilla Community Foundation (ACF) embarks upon a fundraising campaign to raise monies to provide grants within a year to 18 months of being donated. This initiative has allowed the Foundation to provide immediate grants while it continues to grow its endowment fund. Most recently, the ACF was pleased to provide grants to two very deserving organizations: The Arijah Children’s Foundation’s Blossom Centre and the Klassique Academy of Dance and Performing Arts Anguilla.

The Arijah Children’s Foundation, created in 2006, is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to serve children with special needs in Anguilla. It established the Blossom Centre in 2010 and currently provides a daily educational and therapeutic programme for children with special needs who are unable to attend school. In addition, regular therapy clinics in Occupational Therapy and Speech are held at the Blossom Centre for all the island’s children. The Arijah Children’s Foundation relies on the kind and generous donations of individuals, businesses and community organisations in order to continue to serve Anguilla’s children with special needs. It would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Anguilla Community Foundation for the significant support it has and continues to provide towards helping it to care for children with special needs in Anguilla. The ACF has awarded the Blossom Centre US$2000 to assist with its educational and therapeutic programs.

The Klassique Academy of Dance is a visionary dance and performing arts group which encourages creativity, builds self esteem among youth, and promotes the beauty of dance and the performing arts. The ACF awarded the organization US$1000 for the purchase of mirrors for their dance classrooms.
