Christmas 2018 has passed and a new year has begun, but the spirit of giving and spreading good cheer is still in the air. Some of the elderly in our community are still receiving gifts.

It was Christmas in January for the residents of the Miriam Gumbs Senior Citizens Home. The Home was the recipient of two large gift boxes donated by Staff of the Social Security Board, on Friday, 11th January 2019. The gift boxes consisted of mainly toiletries, personal care products and some food items.

This generous donation by the Social Security Staff was the fulfilment of a promise made in December 2018, a week before Christmas, when the Staff visited the Miriam Gumbs Senior Citizens Home for an afternoon of caroling, fun and fellowship with the residents.
