Mr. Charles and Linda Hickox, who formerly owned Cap Juluca, have just been in Anguilla from Miami, Florida. It has been their first visit to the island since selling the resort to Belmond Ltd in mid 2017.

While in Anguilla, Mr and Mrs. Hickox, their daughter, Barkley, and their son-in-law, Phillip, were guests at the resort. There they met the General Manager of Belmond Cap Juluca Anguilla, Mr. Tiago Moraes Sarmento, who oversaw the renovation and expansion of the five-star resort. They also met employees.

They were overwhelmingly delighted with the new look of the resort. Mr. Hickox had this to say:

“It gives us great pleasure for the Hickox family to welcome in the New Year at Cap Juluca with all of our old friends. We know that 2019 will be an amazingly successful year for Cap Juluca and for Anguilla.”

Mrs. Linda Hickox commented:

“With dynamic Tiago Sarmento at the helm, it has been a real treat to see our beloved staff working with such enthusiasm to re-launch Cap Juluca.

“The renovations are outstanding and very much in keeping with our original concept of the resort.

“We couldn’t be happier to see that Belmond has preserved the authenticity of the original Cap Juluca.

“We both agree that there have been many wonderful enhancements to the property, and we are always mindful that Cap Juluca’s magnificient architecture, silhouetted against the most exceptional stretch of gorgeous beach and breathtaking sea, is timeless.

“We are so proud of what Tiago and the staff have been able to accomplish under some very difficult circumstances which have affected the entire region.

“Our hats off to the team at Cap Juluca. God Bless Cap Juluca and God Bless Anguilla.”

Mr. Sarmento’s comments were as follows:

“It was a pleasure to welcome the Hickox family back to Belmond Cap Juluca and show them around the renovated resort. We are delighted and honored to continue the legacy of the extraordinary property and culture. It is so good to know that Cap Juluca will always be their home in Anguilla.”
