The Anguilla Youth Business Foundation (AYBF) recognised Global Entrepreneurship Week 2018 (GEW 2018) for the first time in Anguilla from Sunday, 11th November – Sunday, 18th November. This year, Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrated four distinct themes: Women, Youth, Inclusion and Ecosystem Connect.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is celebrated annually worldwide, placing emphasis on inspiring young people to make their mark, and has quickly grown to become a comprehensive effort that engages entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, support organizations and others collaborating to advance economic growth and innovation in more than 170 countries around the world.
The Anguilla Youth Business Foundation is grateful for the support of its stakeholders and local entrepreneurs who contributed to making Global Entrepreneurship Week a success.
The Anguilla Youth Business Foundation (AYBF) is a business service organisation established by the Department of Youth and Culture (DYC) and the Anguilla National Youth Council (ANYC), under the Anguilla Foundation Act, to provide business development and support services to young people residing in Anguilla. Along with the week of activities, three members were recognised for their commitment and dedication to the Foundation. They were Mr. Carlton Pickering – Council Member, Mr. Kenn Banks – Mentor and Ms. Heather Richardson who is the Enterprise Development Officer.
