Anguilla’s long-standing health food establishment, Simply Natural by Yinka, is this month giving thanks for 25 years of service. The locally-owned and operated business has been providing natural/herbal alternatives to the community from its location on the Landsome Road, in The Valley, since November 1993.

Since opening its doors a quarter century ago, the alternative healing Centre has distinguished itself by providing herbal and nutritional counselling services, in addition to a large and growing variety of reputable brands and products to a wide cross section of the Anguillian health-conscious community and visitors to the island.

“Twenty-five years in business is a tremendous achievement these days, and we are certainly blessed and thankful to be celebrating this milestone,” says owner and Managing Director, Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks. “We are particularly grateful for the continuing support of our loyal customers and friends, who are the backbone and part of the staying power of Simply Natural,… so thank you, thank you, thank you,” the local entrepreneur says.

Over the years education and awareness-building have become an integral part of Simply Natural and the local health food establishment, which began its journey by providing a venue for local and visiting herbalists/healers to share their knowledge, still honours this tradition by providing free herbal/nutritional/fitness counselling.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we continue to affirm and celebrate the wisdom and experience of our elders – and so we continue to pay tribute to local herbalists like “Dr. John” Edwards, the late “Miss Jimmy” and “Miss Ellis” who, along with homeopathic medical practitioners like Dr. Richard Clement and lifestyle coaches like Hattie, participated in those early awareness building workshops at Simply Natural, says Dr. Fleming-Banks. We continue to promote a holistic lifestyle that is in harmony with nature and the environment and therefore ensure that our products are organic and cruelty-free. So in addition to the organic herbal teas, vitamins, vegetable proteins, colon cleansers, and other natural, wholesome products, we promote the reduction of toxin intake through the use of natural plant-based, pesticide-free products like toothpastes, deodorants, shampoos and cleaning products.

The premier health food establishment is also the exclusive distributer on Anguilla for Bell Lifestyle, the internationally-acclaimed Canadian herbal manufacturing company, and has been supplying the popular herbal products to the residents of Anguilla and other surrounding islands.
