Those who attended and participated in the varied Summer Festivities in Anguilla- comprising the carnival activities, boat races and other fun-filled events – readily speak about the delightful period it has been. What added to the spectacular cultural performances was the general high level of good behaviour exhibited by the large crowds at the functions.

Head of Security in Anguilla, Governor Alistair Harrison, commenting at his press conference on Tuesday this week, said: “I think we all enjoyed a very good and trouble-free carnival. I felt, going around the various events, that everybody was in a good mood; that the carnival went off very well without any major incidents and that is extremely good news.”
