As part of the activities marking the 70th Anniversary Celebrations of the University of the West Indies (UWI) on Anguilla, the UWI Open Campus Anguilla is launching an initiative to support the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School (ALHCS) Literary and Debating Society. The initiative will bring together current and former ALHCS participants in the Leeward Islands Debating Competition (LIDC) in a series of topical debates.

The Debates are slated for the last week in November and will see match-ups between former Debaters, as well as Senior/Junior partnerships. The undertaking will serve as a mentoring, as well as fundraising opportunity in support of the ALHCS Literary and Debating Society and their participation in the 2019 LIDC Competition.

The UWI Open Campus Anguilla is inviting all former ALHCS Literary and Debating Society Members/LIDC Debaters, who would like to participate (as Debaters, Judges, Moderators or Mentors), to contact the UWI Open Campus Anguilla by emailing anguilla@open.uwi.edu, or calling 497-8156.
