Clayton J Lloyd Airport, Anguilla: “As the Tourism Industry continues to transform, Industry Partners must position themselves and adjust to meet the demands of the market. We continue to invest in the tools and equipment necessary to increase visibility, relevance and the accessibility of Anguilla as a destination”, Capt. Carl Thomas commented.
An unprecedented and progressive series of events continue heading into the 2018-2019 Season. Flight connections to Anguilla out of St. Maarten (SXM) and St. Barths (SBH) and other hubs bookable via Global Distribution System (GDS) has been an area of focus for some time.

Anguilla Air Services has stepped up and become the first local airline to be bookable via the GDS. Guests and Travel Agents can now book travel to Anguilla using Hahn Air (HI) as the Marketing Carrier and Anguilla Air Services (03) as the Operating Carrier. Immediately, Multi-City Itineraries and Direct Itineraries through SXM and SBH can be booked on Expedia, Travelocity, Kayak, Priceline, SITA and Sabre to name a few. Efforts towards the finalising of interline options with the more than 350 partners in the Hahn Air network, including Virgin Atlantic, Copa Airlines, West Jet, Sun Country and Tui among others are projected to be complete shortly. Passengers on major US Carriers can now have their luggage ticketed straight through to their final destination by having their OTA’s and initiating carriers tag their luggage with the HI credentials. This level of efficiency and hassle-free travel is the focus of Anguilla Air Services’ operations.

The roll out will also see a ’18 Seater Aircraft’ in 2018 and another in 2019 added to the AAS fleet. The fleet now consists of three BN2 Islanders and a Cessna 414; an air conditioned, pressurised cabin aircraft which is an excellent option from private charters out to Puerto Rico, Barbados and other ports of interest. As the European market expands and connections through Panama and other areas become more targeted options Anguilla Air Services continues to prepare for those feeder markets and are considering scheduled service out of Antigua in the near future. Inclusion in the GDS was also aligned to a new secured reservations system where all flight options are bookable via www.anguillaairservices.com.

Anguilla Air Services reaffirms its commitment to the Anguilla Tourism Product and the collective initiatives to have a successful 2018-2019 season and beyond. More details about AAS’ new initiatives and offerings can be accessed by emailing marketing@anguillaairservices.com or contacting +I 264 498 5922.
