Dr. Ellis Webster Recipient of Frist Humanitarian Award

ellisDr. Ellis Lorenzo Webster was awarded the Frist Humanitarian Award by Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), one of the largest healthcare systems in the USA. The Frist Humanitarian Award was created in 1971 and named in honor of Dr. Thomas F. Frist Sr. (1910-1998). This award recognizes individuals whose daily dedication and care giving epitomize the highest standards of quality and personal commitment. It honors special individuals who consistently go beyond the call of duty in serving patients and communities.

“In recognition of exemplary service to patients and the healthcare community, and in recognition of a dedicated spirit and genuine concern for the welfare of others, Ellis L. Webster, M.D. is honored for outstanding commitment to the humanitarian values that are the foundation of HCA and Palms West Hospital.”

The Award included a charitable contribution to the T. Leroy Jefferson Medical Society, an organization for minority physicians in Palm Beach County, Florida, to help fund the mentorship program for minority students interested in careers in healthcare.
