CCB Talented Teen 2012 Contestants at Poolside.

On Sunday July 22nd, the 2012 Ms CCB Talented Teen contestants were overwhelmed as they were taken on a tour down memory lane as past contestants shared their experiences on what is now, certainly one of the more prestigious events of the annual Summer Festival.

This year’s five contestants were graced with the presence of Ms. Amber Woodley (2000 winner), Ms. Rolanda Webster (2001 winner), Ms. Kafi Gumbs (2003 winner), Ms. Shellya Rogers (2006 winner), Ms. Chelsey Hughes (2010 winner) as well as past participants Delvicia MacDonna and Shereena Richardson. Other speakers included successful lawyer and speech coach Nakishma Rogers on hand to give advice, and longstanding Deputy Chairperson of the Anguilla Talented Teen Committee; Mr. Romare Kelsick.

The social event held at Zada Escape in Little Harbour, through the courtesy and graces of proprietor Mr. Oden Smith, allowed the contestants – who were quite inquisitive – to gain much insight into the event as their thirst for more knowledge expanded.  They commented on how invaluable the session was and felt it was time well spent.

The Anguilla Talented Teen Committee and sponsor, Caribbean Commercial Bank, are grateful for the courtesies offered by Zada Escape and for the donation, by Best Buy Bakery of Long Road,Anguilla, of a delightfully decorated cake adorned with the CCB Crest.

Sponsored by CCB in its entirety, for eighteen consecutive years, the highly anticipated event will be showcased on the night of Thursday, August 2nd 2012 at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre as part of Anguilla Summer Festival. From all accounts, it will be a close one to call. The event will also feature performances from the reigning Miss Tiny Tot, Prince & Princess 2012 and From Within Dance to name a few.

See you there as we invite you to witness the start of it – all with the grand 18th anniversary fanfare presentation with the All Ah Wee Young Theatre Players at 8 pm sharp!
