Cricket:-

•       Young Anguillian cricketers Dimitri Adams, Jaidel Richardson and Useph Hodge have been selected to represent the Leeward Islands Under 15 cricket team in the upcoming West Indies Under 15 cricket tournament which commenced in St. Kitts on 16th July. Congratulations to our young cricketers.

Athletics:-

•       Shara Proctor is currently preparing inAustriaat the Austrian, Olympic Training Center, for the Olympics. Although theUnited Kingdom’s Olympic team will be headed toPortugalfor their pre Olympic training camp, Shara has been given permission to miss the camp in order to make her final preparations with her personal coach Rana Reider.  In addition to Shara, Rana has five other athletes from other countries including an Austrian hurdler who has qualified for the Olympics.  He works closely with the Austrian Olympic Committee and they have given him the use of the facilities to conduct the training of his Olympic hopefuls. Shara will be competing in the Austrian Championships on Saturday as a final tune up before the Olympics.  She is expected to arrive at the Olympic Village on July 30th.

 

Boat Race:-

The 2012 NBA Peter Perkins A Class boat race was scheduled to take place on Sunday July 15th but it was cancelled due to strong winds.  The race is now planned for Sunday July 29th starting at 1:30 pm sharp at Sandy Ground.
