The Community Service Unit of the Department of Probation collaborated with the Department of Sports for the Zenaida Haven’s first giveback project of the year. This project took place over a two-weekend span, the 10th and 17th February. The long jump pit at the Orealia Kelly Primary School was cleaned and landscaped. The preparation of this pit would aid students with the practice necessary for the upcoming Inter- Primary School sporting season of the Lenten Term.

In addition to Sports Department staff, including Mr. Rollins Richardson, Deputy Director of the Department of Sports, present at the cleanup were: Mr. Neil Gumbs and Mr. Fits Duncan, residents of Zenaida Haven, and members of staff of the Department of Probation: Mr. Kevois Lake – Senior Juvenile Care Worker, Mr. John Millington and Ms. Bibi Allie – Juvenile Care Workers, Ms. Toya Carty – Juvenile Relief Worker and Ms. René Henry – Community Service Officer.

The Department of Probation extends gratitude to all participants.

The Community Service Unit continues to assist communities across the island and welcomes suggestions and feedback from the general public. For further information Please call 497-7343.
