The Right Rev. Errol Brooks has expressed thanks to Lake’s World for the services of a forklift and operator to offload and stack up a quantity of hurricane relief supplies sent, by friends in Florida, to the Anglican Church in Anguilla.
Speaking during Tuesday’s offloading operations, Bishop Brooks told The Anguilian:
“We need to thank Lake’s Depot for loaning us the forklift and a man to operate it. All of that is part of the generosity shown to us. Of course, we are talking at a time when Mr. Lake has passed. We are thankful to God for his contribution to our society and his contribution to the church and other organisations.
“He was really a philanthropist. God blessed him and he sought to share with others. We shall miss him, but death is part of life and we wish Mrs. Lake and other members of the family, who are grieving at this time, God’s comfort and strength. No matter what we may say, we will never get accustomed to death, especially when it hits home so we know what they are going through.”
Mr. Lake was a regular worshiper at St. Mary’s – Bishop Brook’s parish church.
