tenAn Anguilla Tennis Academy (ATA) delegation led by Founder and President Mr. Mitchelle Lake attended the 2017 Rogers Cup in Toronto, Canada. The trip was organized by Mr. Karl Hale, Tournament Director of the Rogers Cup Tournament.

Accompanying Mr. Lake were Coach Denny Derrick, Alexander Fleming Lake, Jharia Webster, Derecia Griffin, and Orlando Hill. The children and coaches were given VIP access to the facilities and players while witnessing the matches up close. Founder of the ATA, Mr. Mitchelle Lake stated, ” The ATA is grateful to Mr. Karl Hale and his team for making this experience possible for the younger children in our After School Program. It is my hope that they will become even more motivated and inspired to work harder towards achieving their goals through tennis after this memorable experience.”

The Rogers Cup experience was created to strengthen the partnership formed between Mr. Hale, Anguilla Tennis Academy, and the Anguilla Tourist Board in hosting the prestigious Anguilla Cup (ITF Junior Championships). The 2nd annual Anguilla Cup will be held this year at the ATA’s world class tennis facility in Blowing Point, Anguilla from November 13th through 18th.
