18th ANNUAL JOHN T. MEMORIAL CYCLING RACE A SUCCESS

The Anguilla Cycling Association on Sunday, July 9, 2017 hosted the 18th Annual John T. Memorial Cycling. In memory of the late John Thomas aka John T. – in recognition of the contribution he made to the development of the sport on Anguilla.

The race saw competitors from Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Curacao, St. Vincent, Guyana, Dominica, Turks & Caicos, St. Martin, St. Maarten and host country Anguilla, with a total of 91 cyclists in all categories.
The route for the event for various categories differed as the Elite Category did 85 miles and the Junior and Masters Category did 60 miles.
Timing for the event was provided by George Baptiste and Roland Morgan of ABACA Sport Timing.

Elite & Juniors Category (17 39 years)
1st Place – Hillard Cinjte – Curacao
2nd Place – Hamzah Eastman – Guyana
3rd Place – Russel Elcock – DPS Trinidad
4th Place – Hasana Hennis – Anguilla
5th Place – Robert Marsh – Antigua (2006 John T. Winner)
6th Place – Sherwin Osborne – Anguilla
7th Place – Huekeemi Hughes – Anguilla
8th Place – Jeffery Kelsick – Antigua
