DeeAnn will be participating in the Heptathlon, a grueling event which includes the 100m hurdles, high jump, 200m, shot put, long jump, javelin and the 800m.  She will be looking to be among the medalists, having recently set the record and claimed the Leeward Islands Heptathlon Champion crown.  Her compatriot, Theron Niles, participating in only his second international meet will be looking to improve upon his high jump mark of 1:83m.  Zharnel Hughes, the new Leeward Islands Junior 100 and 200m record holder, will be competing  in the same events and hopes to improve on his times for the World Junior Championships.

The Anguilla Amateur Athletics Federation would like to congratulate the athletes and coaches on being selected for this Championship, and wishes them the best of luck in their endeavors.
