Kingston, Jamaica – Friday 2nd June 2017: To ensure that as many football fans as possible can catch every piece of exciting football action in the Champions League final this Saturday, Digicel is giving everyone free access to watch the game on their smartphones or tablets while on the go via its PlayGo app.
PlayGo is a simple, easy-to-use online streaming service that gives users access to exclusive content and the best sports and entertainment TV programmes in High Definition (HD) via Wi-Fi or mobile network. And because PlayGo is for everyone – and not just Digicel customers – it means that football lovers who cannot make it to a big screen this weekend, can get closer to all the action in the final from wherever they are using PlayGo.
“Knowing what’s important to our customers and putting them in control of their preferences is very important to us, said John Suranyi, CEO for Digicel Play – Caribbean and Central America. He continued, “Fans are gearing up for the big game this weekend and this gives us the opportunity to maximise the technologies available to us by using the PlayGo app to deliver an amazing viewing experience from virtually anywhere.”

Users get to continue their PlayGo experience long after the final whistle is blown on the epic game. Digicel is giving everyone free 30-day access to a rich array of HD channels including SportsMax, SportsMax 2, NBA TV, Fight Sports, Catch 1 & 2 and P. Diddy’s Revolt TV. Viewers will also get to enjoy their favourite sitcoms, drama, reality series and documentaries.
PlayGo can be downloaded free at the Google Play Store and iTunes Store for Android and iOS users respectively, or at www.digicelplaygo.com for laptops. The service requires an active monthly subscription which Digicel customers can access using their prepaid or postpaid account, while non-Digicel customers can make payment using their credit card.
