Nzinga Banks and Avern Gumbs

Nzinga Banks and Avern Gumbs from the Anguilla Tennis Academy (ATA) will soon be heading to Texas where they are to attend a very intensive summer tennis camp. They are being hosted by Chris Wade of TBAR M from July 7-21, and will be staying with a host family – members of TBAR. The camp will be conducted for eight hours a day.

Both students know Chris Wade for he has been a supporter of the ATA since its inception, and has participated many times in the ATA Summer Camp. Nzinga said, “Chris is a hard taskmaster but he is a phenomenal and inspirational coach.”  She said that she is looking forward to improving her game prior to going to college in September.

Avern said that, as a student of ATA, she is proud to attend. “I have great expectations and expect great results,” she said. “I will leave Anguilla as a good tennis player and return as an even better one.”

Both girls thanked Mitchelle Lake and Chris Wade for the opportunity that they are being given.
