On Friday 21st April, the students of the Omolulu International Institute (OIS) celebrated Earth Day by transforming discarded oil drums, from Anglec, into decorative garbage bins. Each class was responsible for creating an inspirational design and painting on it assigned bins – a total of six – to be placed around the island. The students showed creativity and enthusiasm for the cause. The bins will provide more containers for persons to discard garbage in order to minimize trash on the island.
Later in the day, the students took to flying kites – with parents and teachers – in honour of Spring and Easter Season .
