For a country that boasts only around 15,000 people, and with hardly an organised baseball program, it is an incredible achievement for two players of Anguillian parents to sew up two of the 14 roster positions in the AllStar team. Damion is a versatile second baseman and Vonte plays a solid third base.

Both players will compete in the upcoming Cal Ripken tournament www.ripkenbaseball.com, which will be televised in some parts of theUSA, and the results will be available online. Depending on the performance of the team, the team may travel to many regions ofFlorida, and the country at large. The Homestead-FloridaCityteam is coach by Fred Washington
