Eagerly anticipated by visitors to the island, True Anguilla is both beautiful and practical, designed to be the essential on-island guide to where to go and what to do. This year’s magazine features many stunning images of Anguilla and its people. Publisher and writer, Trudy Nixon, says, “We are incredibly proud of the magazine this year, we refreshed the front cover and layout, added some great articles and filled it with unique photography including the amazing front cover image by Kevin Archibald, taken with a drone on Rendezvous Bay in late November. The colour and clarity of the water and the dreamy expression on Jasmin’s face sums up just what a relaxing, rejuvenating and very special place Anguilla is. I also absolutely love our final image, of two young Anguillans, Mackenzie and Curlun, taken by Orrett Wynter as the sun sets on Merrywing Bay.”
Other highlights of this year’s magazine include an article on Anguilla as a popular location for filming TV shows and fashion shoots; how to enjoy a walking tour of The Valley; a dining and liming guide that takes you from East to West, a rundown of Anguilla’s boutique shopping, tours, activities and wellness options; information on where to stay and how to get to Anguilla, how to take a day trip to St Barth and of course lots and lots of wonderful photography of people, beaches and food – including a shot of Johnno and Allan, the joint “Majors” of Prickly Pear Cay.
The cover star, Jasmin Ruan, is a 6th form student at the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School (ALHCS) and is the current President of the Anguilla National Youth Council and the ALHCS Environmental Club, as well as being a part-time mermaid!
True Anguilla, a free visitor guide to Anguilla for the 2017 tourism season, is widely available at hotels, villas, shops, restaurants and ports of entry on island. If you would like copies of the magazine please call 1 264 476-8783 or email info@trueanguilla.com. You can also find a copy of the magazine on line at www.trueanguilla.com.
