Tuesday December 13th, 2016: The Valley, Anguilla: – Digicel continues to display their strong commitment to the community through its consistent investment in youth, sports, and culture. The #GetGifted promotion has become even more viral as Digicel goes throughout the Anguillian community.
On Monday December 5th 2016 the entire Digicel team assisted in the gift wrapping of over 800 toys at the Digicel headquarters which was transferred into the ‘Digi Work Shop’ in preparation of their annual toy drive across the island.
Tackle Box Sports Centre partnered with Digicel by contributing Christmas wrapping paper, supplies and their time to towards this worthy cause. Manager of Tackle Box Centre, Mrs. Louise Webster said “Tackle Box is happy to have assisted the Digicel team in the gift wrapping for kids. We are happy to have supported and contributed our time as just like Digicel, we aim to care for the youth of Anguilla.”
On Tuesday December 6th 2016, Digicel started their ‘ GET GIFTED KIDS’ element of their overall ‘GET GIFTED’ Christmas campaign. The ‘ GET GIFTED KIDS’ element is Digicel’s annual toy drive across Anguilla where the team delivers gifts for children in all public primary schools from Kindergarten to Grade two.
The Digicel team commenced their journey from the eastern part of the island, visiting the Morris Vanterpool Primary School, Vivien Vanterpool Primary School and Orelia Kelly Primary School.
Digicel’s Head of Commercial Kerchelle Jn Charles said, ” As a corporate company we have the community at heart and more so the development of all children. Every year Digicel is happy to visit the children of the various primary schools to interact with students and spread some holiday cheer before the end of the school year.”

Digicel’s Marketing Executive, Ms. Roxanne Webster added, “Christmas is all about spreading happiness, sharing, and caring. This year Digicel is doing it again, warming the hearts of not only our customers, but hundreds of children across Anguilla with our GET GIFTED Campaign. The smiles, laugher and joy makes it all worthwhile and these moments are more than magical, they are Extraordinary!”
On December 7th 2016, the remainder of school’s were visited and the students were ‘Gifted’ these schools included; The Valley Primary School, Adrian T. Hazell Primary School, Alwyn Allison Primary School and the special needs students at the DOVE center.
The general public may view Digicel’s social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to see photos and video clippings of the gifting of kids as well as look forward to updates and more surprises to get involved in the ‘GET GIFTED’ Christmas experience with Digicel. Customers should also download & activate the new and improved My Digicel App for chances to win this season.
