On Friday 25, November, the Vivien Vanterpool Primary School hosted its first inauguration ceremony. The event was coordinated by Tr. Vernelle Hughes, the Student Council’s leader, and Teacher Jerica Crawford, Student Council Assistant Coordinator. Five students were sworn in as member for the Executive, while six were installed as Class Representatives. The students were awarded with certificates, gifts and badges.
Prior to this engagement 10 students, with the help of the teachers, campaigned for the different positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer and Secretary. Through a week long online voting process, the student body elected the following students to comprise the Executive: Jeanny Rogers – President; Hiresha Proctor Vice – President, Kurlianna Webster -Secretary; Sashante Vanterpool – Public Relations Officer; and Vernando Smith -Treasurer.
The Class Reps elected wereas follows: Alkia Fleming – Grade 2 ; Tyjanique Seepersaud – Grade 3; Ronylah Webster – Grade 4; Allycin Bryan- Grade 5; and Lyniqua Smith – Grade 6.
