OREALIA KELLY SCHOOL CELEBRATES STUDENTS’ AWARDS

The Orealia Kelly Primary School at Stoney Ground was a scene of much jubilation on Monday, November 21. The event was a celebration of the outstanding performance of a number of students in the Test of Standards. They, and other successful students, were recognised and celebrated at the 10th Annual Primary Schools Awards Ceremony held on Thursday, November 17, at the Rodney MacArthur Rey Auditorium.

Principal of the school, Ms. Paula Etienne, told the awarded students that the teachers and their fellow classmates were proud of them. There was prolonged applause when the awardees stepped forward with their awards at the Orealia Kelly School’s auditorium.

The school captured a total of 27 awards as follows:
Language
Grade 6: Kaiden Proctor (OKPS) – 3rd
Grade 5: Davisha Richardson (OKPS) – 2nd, Tamyah Rogers (OKPS) – 4th
Grade 3: Jada Hunte (OKPS) – 3rd

Mathematics
Grade 6: Aaivor Adams (OKPS) – 3rd,
Grade 5: Davisha Richardson (OKPS) – 3rd, Tyjahnique Petty (OKPS) – 4th
Grade 3: Jad Hunte (OKPS) -1st

Social Studies
Grade 5: Jada Hunte (OKPS) – 3rd, Talyka Harrigan – 5th

Science
Grade 6: Aaivor Adams (OKPS) – 4th, Kaiden Proctor (OKPS) – 5th
Grade 5: Khya Fleming (OKPS) – 1st, Amelia Olivaccé (OKPS) – 4th
Grade 3: Jad Hunte (OKPS) – 2nd, Jada Hunte (OKPS) – 3rd

Top 5 students overall awards
Grade 6 – 5th place Aaivor Adams (OKPS)
Grade 5 – 4th place Davisha Richardson (OKPS)
Grade 3 – 2nd place Jad Hunte (OKPS) and 3rd place Jada Hunte

“The staff and students are very proud of the high level of performance of these students at the National Test of Standards,” the Principal stated. “We want to take this opportunity to thank the class teachers, parents and all those who worked with the students. We hope that you will continue to support and encourage them along this journey of excellent achievement.”
