The NCBA Primary School Football Competition came to a close on November 4th, 2016. The closing ceremony and awards presentation was held on Wednesday November 16th, 2016 at the Raymond E Guishard Football Stadium. This was the culmination of 3 weeks of exciting football displays by the youths.

At the closing ceremony congratulatory remarks were delivered by Ms. Marisa Gumbs, Marketing & Business Development Manager at NCBA, Mr. Rollins Richardson, Acting Director of Sports and Mr. Alkins Rogers, General Secretary of the AFA.

The following prizes were awarded:

Best Goalkeeper Deandra Fleming (MVPS)

Best Defender Keiyonique Hendricks (ATHPS)

Best Midfielder Reba Stott (ATHPS)

Best Striker Carsheda Pemberton (OKPS)

7th Place – Morris Vanterpool Primary School

For the first time ever a match was held between the winning school (Adrian T Hazell) and an All Star Team which comprised of the most outstanding players from each school. The match preceded the awards presentation and ended in victory for the All Star team with a score of 6-0.

The vote of thanks which was delivered by Cherecia Lewis-Rogers, Marketing Officer at NCBA, highlighted sincere gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making the tournament a success. Special thanks was also extended to the Royal Anguilla Police Force for providing crowd control and ensuring that the games were played in a safe environment each night.
