October 18th, 2016- The Valley Anguilla. Digicel, with the intention of providing its valued employees with the tools necessary for a healthier lifestyle, invited the Anguilla Nurses Association to conduct an internal Health Fair for Digicel employees at the Digicel Corporate Office in Rock Farm.

The Anguilla Nurses were more than happy to accommodate and facilitate Digicel’s request for the initiative of safeguarding good health and wellness. The health fair was customised to engage all Digicel employees with credible and measurable wellness screenings.

A section of the office was transformed into a private consultation room with booths where the employees received their health checks and educational health briefings. The nurses conducted blood pressure testing, blood glucose testing, Cholesterol levels testing, body mass testing and general health care education was provided to Digicel’s employees.

This in turn will increase productivity and decrease healthcare costs contributing to a more viable workforce.

Digicel looks forward to making the internal Health Fair an annual event and will continue to encourage staff to indulge in a healthy living lifestyle.

In support and gratitude, Digicel has sponsored the travel and accommodation for one of Anguilla’s Nurses to attend the 30th Biennial Conference to be held from October 16th to 22nd 2016 at the Grand Royal Antigua Beach Hotel, Antigua. The management and staff wishes them all the best as they venture to advance their knowledge and skills for health and wellness in Anguilla.
