On Friday July 29th paddle boarders and volunteers embarked on a swim for charity from St Martin to Anguilla.
The swim began about 7am off the coastline of St Martin and lasted for about 4 hours.

Unfortunately, not all the swimmers were able to complete the journey across the channel. Only two swimmers were successful in doing so when they made landfall at Rendezvous Bay. Their accomplishment – and support from the other swimmers, family members, friends and the participating paddle boarders from Anguilla Water Sports – made the charity swim a huge success.
The swim was in aid of raising fund for the bathroom facilities at the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School. The event was the brain child of Mr. Robert Fawcett, his wife, their family and friends, who are desirous of giving back to Anguilla. The Fawcett family is the owners of two luxury villas at the golf course.
