The best of 3 semi finals of the AABA were held over the weekend.  On Friday night the Hoyas defeated Raiders 67 – 65. Thanks to Macwhirr Louis who scored 21 points and claimed 10 rebounds.  In the first game on Saturday night, Raiders tried again but the Hoyas were unstoppable.  Macwhirr Louis again led his team to victory scoring 36 points and claiming 9 rebounds.  The game ended 62 – 55.  In the second game, Shottaz continued their winning streak over New Breed.  Jason Hodge got 15 rebounds and contributed 17 points to Shottaz 71.  New Breed scored 60.  On Sunday night the tables turned.  Shottaz experienced their first loss of the season.  New Breed won by merely 4 points thanks to Otashba Connor’s contribution of 29 points to their score.  The final score was 64 – 60.

 

The finals will be played on Friday 18th May at theStoney Ground Court.   Hoyas have already won 2 of their semi final matches to qualify for finals.  All are invited to attend the games.  You can also log on to anguillabasketball.com for up dated scores and information.

Anguilla Sailing Regatta

 

As part of the Anguilla Sailing Regatta an A class boat race was held on Sunday.  Top results were as follows:

1st Place        De Tree

2nd                Real Deal

3rd Place        Sonic
