Mr. Kenroy Herbert of Leviticus Lifestyle showcased corporate citizenship in response to the prolific needs of the Anguilla Emergency Medical Services Department (AEMS) by providing well needed equipment. The equipment was handed over at the Princess Alexandra Hospital on March 31. It included two Basic Life Support (BLS) Tactical Bags, two Pulse Oximeters, two Stethoscopes and one Backboard Spider Strap.
Mr. Herbert is of the view that emergencies may pop up anywhere and at any time. He was particularly taken aback given the fact that someone very close to him recently died of a heart attack. In that regard he said: “It may be a severe accident or a sudden heart attack, whatever the nature of the emergency, it is a service that is always needed and as fast as possible. I recognized the importance of this so it gave me much pleasure to be able to have Leviticus Lifestyle and Travel donate two trauma bags to the Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) of the Princess Alexandra Hospital”. He continued: “The most common cases in Anguilla where immediate medical attention is required are motor vehicle accidents, epileptic convulsions, heart attacks, strokes and, sadly, stabbings and gunshot victims. Immediate medical help is expected to be provided to the victim or victims and by trained professionals, and they need the relevant equipment to carry out this function”.
EMT Responder, Mr. Csaesare Wattley, was very impressed by the level of citizenship showed Mr. Herbert in responding to his call for the provision of the equipment. He said: “Having all the necessary equipment can be the difference between life and death”.
