Omololu International School (OIS) is pleased to announce that registration for the 2016-17 SPlayground fun (2)chool Year will open on April 11. OIS is delighted to announce a new specially reduced rate for Anguillian students.

Omololu International School offers a student-centered, inquiry-based style of primary school education, focused on developing the whole child in preparation for life as part of a global society. The program at OIS starts at age 4 with Pre-Kindergarten and runs through Grade 6. In addition to the rigorous academic subjects of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies; all students take a full complement of specialist subjects such as Spanish, Visual Arts, Music, Physical Education, and Information and Technology Skills.
Over the past 3 years, students at OIS have excelled across the island, winning numerous essay competitions, poster contests, placing 1st at the Primary School Spelling Bee and the National Science Fair, and had a stellar performance as reflected in the number of awards captured at the Primary School Awards Ceremony this past November. With a vision towards continual learning, the students and teachers at OIS have continued to push themselves, looking for new ways to achieve.o

All classroom teachers are fully qualified and certified educators, ensuring only the highest quality of teaching in the classroom. The small class size ensures individualized attention for every student and a promise that each student’s unique learning style will be taken into account.

Although the style of education may be unique, there is still a focus on the core academic subjects and, for grades 3, 5 and 6, Test of Standards and CPEA. OIS has become well known for its after school programs, including test preparation courses that are open to all students across the island.

In fact, you can always spot the distinctive bright orange shirts and get a friendly hello from an Omololu student. The motto of the school is “The World is Our Classroom” and that motto is lived up to every time the students leave campus on one of their many field trips. Recent trips include Saint Martin to participate in International Volunteer’s Day, trips with the Anguilla National Trust to the various historical sites across the island, and heading down to Dolphin Discovery for an up close and personal look at the behavior and anatomy of dolphins.

Omololu International School is a place where all children are encouraged to be creative, ask questions, and pursue their own style of education in a safe and encouraging environment.
