At the OECS “crowdfunding” Workshop held this week at the Anguilla Community College, we announced plans to implement a leading-edge crowdfunding platform.
The platform is very comprehensive and efficient for online investing, lending, sourcing or funding applications with the flexibility to build custom client-side processes focused on global end users.
The developer is Crowd Valley, with whom we have worked since 2012. They are headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, London and Hong Kong. Their team has supported over 100 clients in the digital finance market, with over 70 integrated services and service partners.
Included among the facilities of this centralized back office are due diligence, acceptance criteria, audit logs and monitoring of activity, access controls, infrastructure and security protocols, integrated payments, integrated services from third parties such as escrow providers or custodians and ongoing communication with all participants in the qualifying crowdfinancing events.
.ai Anguilla Incubator Inc. does not aspire (as yet) to reach the level and breadth of the same base as Convergence.Finance officially launched at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January. They connect and support private, public, and philanthropic investors for blended finance deals globally whereas our platform will cater to similar global investors but for Anguilla-specific ventures only. Our primary objective is to support and fund local entrepreneurship and domestic Intellectual Property development.
Convergence.Finance is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Lundin Foundation, Grassroots Business Fund, Sweden’s SIDA, South Korea’s KOICA, United States’ USAID and the governments of Canada, the Netherlands and Ethiopia and is based in Toronto, Canada. They use the same Crowd Valley platform.
