One of the new few features at the Careers Fair at the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School was “the Anguilla Incubator Company” introduced by offshore finance company operator, Lynwood Bell.

“It was a very exciting day for both Anguilla Accounts and for the Anguilla Incubator Company which is a student-run organisation at the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School,” he said. “We were at the Careers Fair all day along. There was a good turnout. We had a chance to talk to a lot of the students about the future as entrepreneurs being driven from

Anguilla for business world-wide.

Mr. Bell observed, “One of our announcements was the intent to create a crowd-sourcing platform which would assist in getting new businesses started fromAnguilla. The second big announcement was that Josey Vanterpool, the President of the Anguilla Incubator Company, was given his first directorship with an outside company. It comes with a stipend and he is able to step into a professional role as many other Anguillians could do if they wish to do so as well. We think it is a great start to an entrepreneur movement on the island; and we are very much looking forward to working with everyone toward that goal.”

Mrs. Avonella Griffith, a Teacher at the Comprehensive School, commented that Anguilla Incubator “is a model group which is trying to help to ensure the success of Anguilla’s children is grounded in modern technology.”

She went on: “We are interested in things like crowd sourcing, and we are hoping that as the years go by that it can be a model for creating jobs and for propelling our young people on the world’s stage.

I am the chair for Anguilla Accounts and we are the founders and supporters for Anguilla Incubators.”
