They were sworn in by Mr. Clemvio Hodge, Chief Minister of the National Youth Parliament, who addressed them on the importance of leadership and offered them his best wishes.

Replying, the Youth Council’s President, spoke about the election process for the selection of the executive members, and of some of the plans of the Council. Two of the plans are the further development of the playground, and fundraising for that purpose and others.

Working in close cooperation with the Student Council are seven class representatives. They are Samantha Mac Cormack, Kindergarten; T’Vari Leveret, Grade 1; Jafari Hughes, Grade 2; Denari Gumbs, Grade 3; Latonya Fleming, Grade 4; Leshawan Polson, Grade 5; and Rianna Evans, Grade 6.
The chairperson of the ceremony was Ms. Glenneva Hodge, Youth Parliament Representative for District 7. Others who participated in the event were Reverend Wilmoth Hodge, who delivered the prayers; Teacher Carol Richardson who gave the welcome and brief remarks; Teachers Jackie and Laurie who distributed the certificates to the members of the Student Council; and Jamar Willock the Student Council’s Assistant Secretary who delivered the Vote of Thanks.
