January 18th 2016, The Valley Anguilla – Digicel Play is proud to support the 2016 Miss Valentines Show Pageant.
The organizing committee of the Miss Valentines show will in 2016, reintroduce this pageant to Anguilla as one of the biggest and most anticipated pageants ever. The show is organized to sensitize the public on the true meaning of Valentines and also to showcase the talent of young females between the ages of 13 and 21.
Mr. Karl Woodley, founder and head organizer of the pageant informed Digicel’s Marketing Executive, Ms. Roxanne Webster that the pageant helps to build self-esteem, poise and instill pageantry skills in each of the contestants. He went on to say that most of the contestants that enter this pageant, use their teachings and skills to go on to the Talented Teen Pageant which is held during Carnival in August.
The Miss Valentines Pageant has opened the eyes of six beautiful and talented young ladies of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School; Ms. Chamara Gumbs, Ms.Shenise Bryan Webster, Ediledya Connor, Ms.Celine George and Ms. Sulandy Fleming are all vying for the title of Miss Valentines 2016.
Digicel’s Marketing Executive, Ms. Roxanne Webster said “The entire Digicel team is extremely proud of these six young ladies who found the courage to enter such a meaningful pageant. We wish the organizers and contestants all the best and we encourage the entire public to support this great initiative.“
The show is scheduled for Saturday 13th February, 2016 at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Center, commencing at 8:00 p.m. sharp. Entry fee is slated for EC$20 for adults and EC $10 for kids.
