Basketball action continued over the weekend, 5 games were played.  OnThursday night the Spartans 41 was not enough to stop the Outlaws 69 for victory.  Top scorers were Cordane Richardson 13 (Spartans) and Wendell Hurbert 25 (Outlaws).  On Friday, Spartans fell to Hard Knox, 35 – 73.  Khalid Hughes and Straffmore Richardson both contributed 20 points to their teams’ winning score.  In the second game of the night, Raiders were victorious by merely 3 points over New Breed.  Otashba Connor contributed26 points to New Breed’s score and Rowemain Carty 23to Raiders victory.  The final score was 75 – 72.

As the action continued on Sunday, New Breed won against Hard Knox 87- 81.  Otashba Connor’s 20 aided his team’s victory.  In the final encounter of the night, Hoyas won by 1 point.  The leading scorer for Hoyas was Macwhirr Louis 30.  Incia Brooks scored 36 points in the Raiders total of 75.

Fun Day2012

 

The excitement and intrigue that engulf May 1stin the form of FUN Day is once again around the corner.  A total of eleven teams have already registered to take the plunge in the sea of fun.  This list includes Cap Juluca, Viceroy, Cuisinart, ANGLEC, Customs, Teachers, Legal, Maico Headquarters, Civil Servants, NBA and Jamierah.

As usual this Fun event takes place on Tuesday May 1st at the Ronald Webster Park.  Some of the events include the spelling race, bag race, Needle and thread, ball throw, full the bottle and everyone’s favourite “tug of war”.  Will Viceroy pull down the other participants? Or will the “Julucans rise to the occasion and regain the crown?  The answer to this and to all other questions will be provided on the Ronald Webster Park.  All participants are asked to be at the venue at 11:00 am so that the Fun can begin promptly.
